Free Starbucks in T5C

So we know that premium / status passengers get free Starbucks ( to the value of £15 I think ) if their flight is departing from T5C due to there been no lounge.

Curious is there anything stopping a T5A/B passenger rocking over to C, grabbing some Starbucks goodies then head back to A/B.

Only the fact it's a bit of a pain to do it (you can't take the train back but have to walk through the 'hidden' tunnel). Take a look here for directions; LHR: Getting From T5B/T5C to T5A Airside

If you're asking whether there is anything financial stopping you then absolutely not, just as you are free to visit the CCR, Galleries North, Galleries South and Galleries T5B (both First and Club) if you have access, time, and inclination.

There's no computer scan, the lads and lasses of Starbucks simply glance at your boarding pass and then stamp it, to stop you claiming two lots. Not sure how this works with iToy boarding passes. So it's a one time hit only, and they do suggest you take up to the maximum in that visit. I tend to take an extra bottle of water with me, but they do some alcohol thingies there (lager certainly, maybe mini wine bottles).

I'd rather pay for a coffee in Pret than get a free one in Starbucks

A couple of free water bottles though can be very handy given the anti-hydration cups they give out on board.

All of my details were written down in a register when using my mobile BP.

I wonder if they try and reclaim the tax on the £15 spend that BA funds via some Coffee bean company in Switzerland ?

Same here. I seem quite unlucky with the amount I end up out there. They do record it on a list/form for those with boarding passes. They have mini bottles of wine, champers and iirc beer. Not to mention cheesecake etc shame it can't be used on cups

How long time would the trip to T5C take and return, 30 min at least or?

You can as long as you buy one perishable item too. At least that's what they told me and allowed me to do last time.

They didn't ring up my items on the till last time I used it (they said 'just take them and we'll ring it up later'). The value was only about £6. It got me wondering if they probably still charge BA for £15 worth every time.

Something dodgy going on there I bet.

I didn't know about this, and when I asked at the desk at 5C about lounge access they just said there wasn't one. Pretty annoying, since I was there for about 3 hours (given a 2 hour delay, gradually announced 30 mins at a time!)

I'm sure they do, and add a few extra 'passengrts', too. If I worked on that contract for BA then I would keep a beady eye on them.
