772 with 773 fit out - correct?

http://www.thebasource.com/b777-200-...f-maintenance/

Is this story correct? Intersting if it is as I think the 773 WT+ product is great. Although even if true I suppose it could still be the same old IFE.

Didn't realise that. Does this include the IFE?

IIRC all the aircraft refitted 773-style have also had the Thales IFE system fitted.

They certainly are. I had the good fortune to take G-VIIL a few months ago and experienced the new IFE.

It is a great improvement and you can see the TR here!

Yes, many of the G-VII* 772s now have the 77W style interior, including Thales AVOD.

This thread was keeping a running track of the 777 updates.

Does anyone know if there will be an attempt to use these 777s on particular routes wherever possible, or will it be random?

It's been stated a number of 747s will be staying until 2023. Now considering that G-ZZZ aircraft were delivered 1995/6, and the last 747s in 98/99 I really hope there are yet to be revealed plans to roll this out further in the future.

Something has got to happen!

The 'A' Model 777s are retaining 17F/48J/24W/127Y according to the BA Source.

BA have missed a trick, they should have gone the whole hog with 777 revamps.

They would have been competitive in ALL cabins for another 5-6 years whereas the current mish mash leaves the YMMx series at risk of being out classed within 24 months.

They may refit them with NWT and NWT+ in the future of course - as you say, doesn't make sense to have them without

Sweet, gives me 33% hope that my EWR next week, where the seat plan has just changed to that format, may have the nice pretty seats and AVOD!

It also gives me a much better chance of an OPUP with 16 W seats removed, although I think I'd almost rather try WT+ if it is the updated plane!
