Choose BA miles for one Hilton stay in 2012/13; earn up to 3K bonus (if gold)
This has been over the blogosphere the past 2 days, but I can't find it in this forum. My apologies if my search skills are deficient.
Hilton is running a promo with BA where a person will win a trip to NYC for two people in Club World and a stay at the Conrad NYC. Lower down the page, it says:
"Additionally, stay once within the Hilton HHonors portfolio of brands before the end of 2013 and we’ll award you bonus Avios based on your Executive Club tier status at the time. 1,000 Avios for Blue members, 1,500 for Bronze, 2,000 for Silver or 3,000 for Gold members."
Given that you get 500 points for a stay, this means you earn 1500 (blue), 2000 (bronze), 2500 (silver) and 3,500 (gold). This is in addition to the normal Hilton points that you earn, assuming that you've chosen one of their points and miles earning options.
You have to stay after registration and by December 31. I am gold thanks to my former bmi status. This promo is the best current payout for a single stay of which I am aware.Be careful to choose BA for one stay. I had been earning bmi points for the past while, and just deleted that number today. Then I'd moved on to Virgin Atlantic, as they have a nice 5 stay promo running with Hilton right now. Any booking I make currently defaults to Virgin. I had to edit that I wanted my points to go to BA for the stay I will do to earn these points.
Ts and Cs can be found here.
I believe that I read about this first on satori's excellent blog that focuses on hotels.

I'll have to make a note not to activate this until I hit gold which should be the end of November. I have a Hilton booking in December I can use to activate it.

Ts and Cs :
"This competition is available only to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a person who is a member of the British Airways Executive Club, a resident in the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. "
Is this the same condition to earn the miles ?

I have registered for the promo but have not shifted any stays to Hilton. I have some Hilton stays planned for December (at which point, I may very well have graduated to Silver), but the points from those stays may not post quickly enough to find out whether a US-based member like me will qualify for the extra points before the promo ends.
I will be very happy to earn 7500-10K Avios if I qualify; I won't complain if I only earn 1500-2000.

Also, please note that the T&Cs seem to indicate a long run for this bonus promotion: "Bonus Avios offer is valid for eligible stays completed after registration, at participating hotels between 19th October 2012 and 31st December 2013." In my last post, I assumed the promo ended at the end of this year.
