Surprisingly, no, I'm not writing this from some dingy, dark, damp excuse for an 'executive' lounge. I'm in my own drawing room (nod to another thread there ), and I began to wonder.
What is the worst lounge you have ever had the misfortune to use - and why?
Now, although the behaviour of fellow guests would certainly influence our choices, let's keep this to the actual lounge offerings/decor, etc. Minimal tales of 'dragons' would probably be appreciated by the Moderators, too!
Which dry lounges make you feel like you've got the DTs? Which make you long for the generosity of BA's domestic catering ? Which leave your skin crawling?
Answers below, please

I will add a second vote for the BA lounge at GLA. My recollection is of a small bare room with hard furniture and a shelf of cheap drinks. The vodka bottle had been taken off the shelf and was standing in the centre of a kitchen-like table being rapidly consumed by three local women sitting around it. This was at 8am.

Thai lounge at KTM. The food offering looked picked over and I chose a packet of (sealed) biscuits and retired to a musty looking and smelling chair and then reflected on the wisdom of my food choice as a rat emerged from one side of the lounge paused to nod a hello to me before carrying on out of the door.....

While it has been a number of years = Cairo ??
The QF domestic lounge at PER is actually a great lounge until it overflows with fly-in/fly-out workers and no seats are available. Or on Friday evenings before the red-eye flights to MEL/SYD/BNE.
Happy wandering and may your lounges have edible snacks.

The Premier Lounge in DPS up the stairs? Didn't think it was that bad, really empty and fresh food replenished often, comfy chairs, terrace....only thing was you had to pay for wifi
