Finding an e-ticket number

My wife and I have had a claim for a miles credit by BA for a BMI coded flight (on OS metal) in June rejected because BA cannot find our booking from our name, flight details and reservation number. It was always a bit odd, because whilst it appeared fine in our forward flights in ba.com before the travel date, it wouldn't allow me to check in which I eventually carried out on the OS site. It then dissapeared off of the system after the flight.

The email from BA asks for us to resubmit the claim with our e-ticket number. Is there any method of finding an e-ticket number from the booking reference mumber. Check my trip doesn't seem to help. None of the confirmations had an e-ticket number printed.

Thanks.

Thanks,

As I said in my post, checkmytrip doesn't help - hence the post. It simply brings up the 8104 error ie they cannot find the reservation number.

Have you tried looking at your booking email receipt? Would have thought it would be on there.

Aside from that, I know you said you saw it previously in ba.com but is it possible that as part of the systems changeover from BMI, BA has since created a different PNR which is why you can't find it? If so, try to get that PNR from BA and then try checkmytrip.com again. Good luck.

My apologies, I didn't parse your last sentence correctly.

On second thought, sounds like you've tried all that with BA already. Have you tried calling OS and seeing if you can get their PNR or even the eticket number from them? BA/BMI may have misplaced the records but surely as the operating airline OS can provide something.

If you booked on Amex, e-ticket number is usually printed on the statement.

Many thanks for the reminder ..... I wouldn't have thought of it.

It was on mrs uk1's BA Amex PP and I'll have them unarchive the statement and have another go. Every mile counts.

Sorry to bring up a past thread but I seem to be having the same problem.

However, it was booked through my work and as such I never paid for it so can't go down the AMEX route.

I checked all the emails and correspondance from uniglobe and didn't have a ticket number - just a booking reference.

Any further thoughts?
Thanks

Do you have access to the BA app? If you look at the details of a particular flight, the ticket number is at the bottom of the page and displayed really prominently.
