BA New First - LHR-EWR

On BA 185 on August 5th. What are the chances of getting the new first into EWR on a 777?

Thanks

Your flight is currently scheduled to be on one of the 3 777s with 17F seats, which indicates Old First sadly. I too missed out on New First on this route earlier in the year!

Non-AVOD IFE too.

Lucky you.

Total disgrace in this day and age.

I agree, but there will be an iPad, so technically AVOD.

How practical is the iPad in OF? Is there somewhere to hang it or prop it up? Can you eat and watch a movie at the same time? Seems like it could be a bit clumsy...

(asking, as thinking of booking some F seats on one of these old crap boxes)

You'll be pretty unlucky to land one of the OF 777s now..? What route?

I thought G-ZZZC was now refurbished? It's always been 17F when I have been on this route but I now think you have a 33% chance of NF...

LHR-EWR which seems to be a lot of 17F. There's almost always F award availability on the 185.

BA185 gets a mix of 767/777.

Out of the past 26 days:

12 777 NF
11 767
2 777 OF
1 G-ZZZ* OF/No AVOD

Thanks. How far out can the seat maps be trusted? I am looking in May, when it shows a G-ZZZ more often than not.

ZZZC has indeed been refurbished and has NF, so you have a 1 in 3 chance if one of the 17 seaters is sequenced for this rotation.

Good Luck

I'd ignore them at the moment tbh. Your chances are unlikely. Especially if some of them go in for refurb sometime in the next few months as the focus of those in service will be on the near 100% F occupancy routes to the Middle East.

Just my opinion but I'd say very unlikely.
