I handed out my Golden ticket/I received a Golden ticket

With this new promo and it appearing that several people have been sent the ticket and with many staff posting, I thought it would be interesting to hear from those who have handed one out and why and those staff who have received one.

Best of Luck to those staff who post.

If I was you, I'd leave them visible on or around my person on every flight, but never hand them out. I bet you'll get the best service ever

There should also be brown tickets to hand out for poor service.

Perhaps we should make our own version to hand out in recognition of sterling service rendered to FT members . eg. "Thank you for serving an FT member with distinction"

I would not be so sure. All as we get is to go and tell a manager about it in our own time. Great.

Can't see the point of this ?

Why limit it to high status passengers - aren't commendations from other passengers equally welcome then ?

And what's in it for the staff ?

If I get good service, in the past I have always used the feedback form to tell BA. Perhaps I shouldn't bother anymore ?

The point is that as well as rewarding staff it also engages some of BA's highest spenders (GGL)/most influential pax (Prem) in the journey of improving BA's in flight offering. Clever. @:-)

Just as long as its not at the expense of the other passengers.

I would have thought staff would be better encouraged to enhance the experience of all passengers not just those few in possession of golden tickets.....

Always struggle with why people seem to be surprised by this. In every business some customers are more important than others, it normally relates to spend, growth potential or strategic importance.

It's pretty much the premise of BAEC.....

Well... We certainly will if people follow the ill advised waving of said Gold Ticket in our faces in the hopes of getting better service...
