It was excellent salmon. Nice, succulent thick slices of salmon tasting fantastic, even that high up in the air!

I'll just post here for reasons of grumpiness that I hate smoked salmon, and I think the "amuse-bouche" in F is pointless - I'd rather have a proper size main course thank you.

On BA284 SFO-LHR, in F:
Amuse-bouche with my aperitif:
For the starter, I went for the tomato and basil soup, which was very good indeed:
For mains, I took the braised beef with Armagnac aigre-doux sauce, haricot-verts and seared endives and it was fabulous, very tasty and incredibly tender:
I had already eaten part of my raspberry tart dessert before I remembered to take the pic, so no image of my dessert.
The 2 glasses of port I had with it were HUGE!
Upon approach to London, Full English - what better way to start the day (and fairly good coffee ):

My apologies for the fuzzy photographs.
I had the window shades down as there was a passenger asleep nearby and the cabin lights were a bit dimmed so it was hard to get enough light.
Amuse Bouche, F lunch, Sep 2012
It was nice. But this is F. "Proper" caviar might have been better than salmon roe. But anyway, it was nice... and it was pretty, so I should not be too fussy!
Tuna tataki appetiser, F lunch, Sep 2012
This was very good, and good marks for presentation as well. Nicely done.
Prawn with wasabi pepper sauce, F lunch, Sep 2012
Not a winner. Presentation was pretty good. But wasabi was too over-powering with prawns, resulting in not being able to taste them, even though the prawns were pretty nice and juicy. They need to back off the wasabi a lot.
Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and fruit brochette, F lunch, Sep 2012.
Not sure what happened to fruit brochette but never mind, it tasted much better than it looks! In fact the chocolate fondant was sinful.
Marinated seafood with papaya, F light meal, Sep 2012
Probably my favourite bit of all the food served on this flight. It looked much better in real life. It's my bad photography. And it tasted very nice and fresh too.
Braised beef with red wine sauce, F light meal, Sep 2012
Actually the beef was very good. MUCH better than it looks. Presentation could be improved though... it's not just my dodgy photography.
