Club World Booking Query - LHR>MCT>AUH>LHR
Hi all,
Not sure if any of you kind folk can help with the following:
I am looking to book 2 people to fly:
LHR>MCT on 15th Mar
MCT>AUH on 18th/19th/20th Mar and
AUH>LHR or 21st/22nd Mar
Due to various customer appointments which are still "fluid" (and likely to remain so), I am keen to find a "semi-flexible" fare which is not at the silly money being quoted for fully flexible nor the "fly or lose everything" I-class fares which I can see on itasoftware.
I am not too bothered on flying business on the MCT>AUH leg, nor indeed whether I do that with BA, but would welcoma all and any suggestions on how to find a reasonable, semi-flexible fare based on the above preferably with BA (as I still need to hit my GC renewal threshold!)
All bright ideas greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
Could you consider Royal Jordanian ( via Amman) and/or starting your journey in AMS/CDG/BRU?
Royal Jordanian would give you your BA tier points also ( as they are in OW)
Regards

I can consider Royal Jordanian (though have never flown with them, so would welcome others' views), or could possibly start in BRU or AMS, though this will entail a further sector (probably from BRS). I could combine with another business meeting, but not so easy for my colleague. We'll consider it, though, to save a few pennies - as business owners, these things matter....

I am a regular on this run.....
I would just suggest booking a straight forward LHR-MCT return with BA and flying Oman air MCT-AUH return, (modern 737-800's) or EK (Emirates) MCT-DXB return. (DXB- AUH is about 90 mins in a decent cab),
Or you could book LHR-AUH return on BA with a different BA ticket AUH-MCT return.

There is various trip reports on the trip report forum ( food better than BA but seats on the AMM not as good as CW. There is a very good business ( semi flexible) fare from CDG out on the 15th to MCT and back on the 22nd for €1440 ( c 1200 odd )
It was pricing about 1700 ex-LHR.

I'll check out the CDG, AMS and BRU options and the split routings suggested. I presume binning the last extra leg is not a problem? Also any views on Etihad's business offering? Doesn't help the TP situation but hits the other issues.
