Swanhunter... Oh Hunter of Swans...
I am very sorry to hear your bad news in terms of family and of course, this, you family and other commitments must take precedence over an IBB.
I hope things improve for you, and wish you all the very best with dealing with what may be a very difficult time in your personal life.
We are all hear for you if you need us.
Warmest regards and thanks for all your efforts and time you have input into these boards.

Very sorry to see you go as I truly believe this board will be a worse place without you - however your family and life must come first. Good luck - and I hope we see you back here soon.

Swanhunter, all the best my friend and you are in fact 100% right in your decision. Next time I am in London, we will calm our nerves with a wee dram. Or ten.
The BA Asylum will be fine while you are on leave. The inmates will be here when you get back. I am more than happy to drop in from time to time to help calm things down...
My very best wishes for your family member...

I do hope that all turns out as best it can for your relative and family, Swanhunter. Thanks for all of the good advice and good cheer you've provided. I hope that we'll see your steady and steadying presence back here regularly at some point down the line. In the meantime, as you so rightly note, first things first.

As the thread title suggests, I’m taking a break from moderating this forum. My workload is increasing by the day and sadly a close family member is unwell with a prognosis that is not at all good. In a list of priorities – and no matter how much I love you all ( ) - FT will have to come behind family, earning a crust and sleep.
I’ll be around from time to time to moan about things, but otherwise leave you in the more than capable hands of my Moderator colleagues.
Happy travels and play nicely!
Swanhunter
