(and no ACMIs, haj operators and the like either)
But not many airlines can be as prolific with their 747s on shorthaul as Saudia (SV). Although some new A330s are making appearences, there are still loads of 747s on the hour long hops between RUH and JED.

To me, this is the greatest benefit of 747 service: nobody stampeding past your seat, no crew going in and out of the cockpit, and very little flight attendant activity (compared to F on a 777, for example).
Completely agree. F just isn't F unless it's in the nose of a 747 in my opinion.

For the geeks, the complete history of every 747 is here :

Column C, "l/n" (line number) is the order in which they were actually built.

Yes - the average stage length for the SV 744 is 2400 st miles. BA does 4750 and the global average is 3900 miles.

Close. Any USAF operated plane the POTUS is on is Air Force One. When he's on the helicopters the USMC provide for his transport its callsign is Marine One. And when GWB landed on an aircraft carrier in an S3 Viking, its callsign was Navy One.

Army One being another possibility. And Executive One on non-military aircraft.
