The Ultimate Avios Earning/Converting List

This is the ultimate list of all known ways for UK FT'ers to obtain Avios either directly or through other points which can be converted to Avios.
There are also some links at the bottom for other methods not available for UK residents.

Please PM me or post here if you know of any other methods and I will add them to the list.

Avios figures quoted are per £1 spend, except Hotels which are quoted per $1 or €1.
The "Earn" figures are for Hotel points which can vary depending on your status and the conversion ratio is their exchange rate to Avios.
"Bonus" Avios are in addition to the Hotel points you can earn and convert to Avios.

All figures based on regular rates and do not include any bonuses.

The rates could change at any time so please don't take the numbers here as gospel.

Thanks to teflon for finding all the foreign BA cards.

WebFlyer conversion tool may also be of interest to you, thanks to RedVee for that one.

I just wish there was something with Visa for all those places that don't take Amex (and does anyone use MC?).

ExpatSomchai Jan 2, 2012 11:10 am

Can't see anything on the Holiday Extras site indicating Avios collection.

The Lloyds Duo card offers a MasterCard but the earn rate is terrible - 1 Avios per £5 spent!

Tesco Bank also has a Mastercard which has a slightly better earn rate than the Lloyds.

It's a link via the BAEC login.

Dare I mention the notorious British Airways Visa Signature® from Chase?

PanGalactic, any chance you could put a few spaces into your list of program's on the left? The list currently screws up the page flow!

If you add a space after every comma, it will word wrap automatically.

Cheers!

OK, it's on there (mainly so I don't have to answer that q again), but not much use to us UK folks unfortunately :)

There should be 2 versions of this list really, one of UK and one for USA, let's see how it develops.

It's not even the full list :)
But it's just quantity not quality :(

That's the bit I'm working on.
