Not at all I read the Telegraph & Financial Times as well. I use to read the Times, but Mr Murdoch wants me to pay for it, which I wont.

I saw a little earlier some posts about the iphone and at the same time saw No 5 coming out so I posted on here. Whilst trying to find that I found the pics of New York, which I felt some might enjoy like I did.

I have to say that I do find usually the DM site easy to navigate. Some sites are messy and difficult. But thats just me.

Old pics of New York from the 1940's. Some people might find them interesting.
The whole collection can be seen here, amazing sets of photos. Will take hours to plough through all of them.

Steve Gunning, Managing Director of British Airways World Cargo, said, “The decision to once again work alongside our long-term freighter partners, GSS and Atlas Air, to upgrade to the Boeing 747-8 freighter was an important step by British Airways World Cargo. It is our view that long-haul freighters form an integral part of our overall business strategy – providing flexibility and capacity on resilient and growing lanes – as we strive for continued excellence in all key areas of the business, including product range, customer service and, of course, network offering.”

Look,” they say, “If I sit on it, I can squeeze it into that hand-luggage gauge and…”

The average bag takes seven minutes to be processed. After check-in its first port of call is security screening. Most are transported there via the standard blue conveyor belts. There are also four other colour-coded belts, including light blue for transfer luggage and yellow for “out-of-gauge” items such as pushchairs.

Of course, another less stressful option would be to attempt to survive your holiday on hand luggage alone, frugally packing six T-shirts, a Kindle and 99ml of toothpaste and deodorant – and cheaply escorting it yourself.

Suggestion for the mods

Can we please make this a sticky? So it does not float about all over the shop. Also, how about a name revision... after all it's got little to do with gate 10!!! How about 'The BA Gate 10 off-topic lounge thread'?

Gate A10 is in the bowels of LHR and is the BA equivalent of Room 101 so probably a good name (especially as PP***E have Jet Blast already)

Yes, BBB!

I didn't want to be the first Downtown Person to post on here about the upcoming excitement, but glad you did.

Must watch from the U.S. so trying not to get hopes up, as ITV's web site will probably crash at 9:01 from overload....

Oh, also must put in a word for Spooks, too, as most of us are "torn between two lovers."

For women of a "certain age" Our Harry Pearce is just as cute as a bug in a rug. Sigh. The Lucas North sighers can have their man. Some of us would be honored to be Harry's romantic foil.

Mikey, surely you don't watch that drivel?!

I just get annoyed that people in our small nation appear to be so brain dead on these shows
