ANNOUNCEMENT - A new revitalised Executive Club is coming

Dear all

As the thread title suggests, we are really excited to be able to share with you that a new revitalised Executive Club is coming.

We are in the process of emailing all of our Club members full details on some of the changes. However, I know that as loyal customers who are passionate about the Executive Club you will all be keen to see these as soon as possible so for more details please click on the link below

www.ba.com/theclub

This really is only the start of the journey and we will be communicating with you over the coming months about even more changes so please make sure you look out for our emails.

We hope you like the changes and as ever, we do welcome your feedback and invite you to share your thoughts and any questions you may have in this thread.

Warm regards

Nicci

Well, that actually looks quite good I must say. Reduced redemption cost to the NYC and HKG... Never expected that. The cynic in me expects a catch in the future.

Hear hear - seems quite positive, although let's wait until we've heard all the changes...

I am particularly intrigued by:

Now all they need to get is a good credit card partner in mainland Europe.

And a new name for Avios points, but hey...

LHR-TLV in WT/WT+/J/F = 25000/37500/40000/75000.

Is the J redemption rate a mistake - should be 50000?

Changing MORE for CE on a crappy bingbonging sh 767 to LCA than for CW to TLV doesn't seem particularly logical.

ok, so exchange rate is 1:1, some increases in redemption to certain destinations with others decreasing.

There's no mention of continuation of MFU on the new site ?

Business Traveller has an "Exclusive" interview about it (it probably was, when the story was announced on there at 2350GMT last night.

Good point. ^ Maybe Nicci can elaborate?

To correct myself: the option to use miles for upgrade stays the same.

Whilst the reduction in redemption costs is very welcome, I can't help thinking that this is the end of MFU?

Nicci, can you confirm the future of the MFU?

Interesting to note that Larnaca and Catania are listed as having World Traveller. Mistake?

Every program in the world has the option to upgrade with miles so no doubt Adios will be the same. The question is, will we still be able to upgrade from the cheapest WTP (or CW!) booking classes like today?

Would not want my new pet name for the program (Adios!) to become predictive of future 'enhancements based upon feedback by our most valued customers'....

To continue giving you simply priced Zones, each with just one fare, we need to separate out your airline taxes, fees and surcharges (as we don't control these things and how much they fluctuate) and you'll pay them in cash from 16 November.
