Slightly OT, but I'm always surprised that both my bank and Amex think it is fine to ring me (usually to query or confirm a particular transaction) and start with "Hello Mr. 66. This is Amex/your Bank. Can you confirm your security details?".

This routintely gets a "no, unless you can prove you're from where you say you are". At which point they say they can't give out any information without me giving up security answers, and so I have to hang up and ring them back.

It's a very odd system.

On a similar topic, if you recieved an email telling you you have won two free tickets to see Jedward, do NOT open it, it contains a link offering two free tickets to see Jedward!
