New Arrivals offer for CWLC @ LCY

From BA email just received:

When you arrive at London City on our Club World London City service, you now have the perfect place to freshen up and get set for the day ahead: our new luxury hotel partner, the four star deluxe Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel.

Simply speak to a member of our customer service team at New York JFK, who’ll be happy to arrange the service for you either when you’re checking in, in the Galleries Club lounge, or at the boarding gate before departure.

You will need to pre-book at JFK, then on arrival at London City Airport, simply make your way to the Chauffeur Services desk near the airport exit. You’ll then be escorted to your executive car and whisked off to the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel, just 10 minutes away.

Just present your Club World London City boarding card to the Hotel Concierge who will direct you to the East River Spa. There, you can make use of a private treatment room* with shower, wash basin, complimentary toiletries, towels, bathrobe and ample space for luggage. If you like, you can work out in the gym or simply relax in the spa, where you’ll enjoy a special discount on spa treatments**. Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout the hotel and you are welcome to use the cutting-edge business centre.

If you’d prefer to maximise sleep onboard and eat at the hotel rather than on the flight, the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel offers a complimentary breakfast - take away, buffet or eat a la carte in the Azura Restaurant. On a sunny day you might like to have breakfast on the riverside terrace while you take in the delightful views along the banks of the River Thames.

But poorly located vs the Marriott - which was perfect for canary wharf, radisson needs another taxi ride...

Thanks Globaliser, I hadn't seen this had had airtime already. Probably as its announcement seems to have been hidden in other existing threads.

I used the service last week. It is quite good. I was asked at check-in at JFK if I wanted the service, and it was reconfirmed when I boarded the BA002.

Upon landing at LCY, I was directed to a chauffeur-drive desk (just after customs, almost as you leave the terminal building on your right hand side) and was escorted to an awaiting S Class Merc. Within 5 minutes, I was at the Radisson, and shown to their spa suite. They have seven of them, which is where they normally do massage, etc. Towels, slippers, robe, etc. were all waiting, as well as a large bottle of water, toiletries, hair dryer, etc. There is an in-room shower (nice, walk-in shower) with large pump bottles of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. After freshening up, I made my way to the restaurant, where a full buffet breakfast was on offer. Service was attentive, with staff even offering a newspaper to enjoy during my meal. It was an easy cab ride into the office, with a small rank of black cabs waiting outside. All in all, it was easy, comfortable, relaxing, enjoyable, and a great end to a super flight. It is a FAR better option that the previous Marriott experience.

I like this, and it must be a better deal for BA. Having said that, if I'm being really picky, I'd say that you shouldn't have to decide pre-boarding that you want to go. I guess you could always get a cab and head over there yourself.

The Marriott is certainly better located.

However, it's better than nothing and clearly is a good option if you want a proper breakfast, shower etc before starting your day. So, a positive.

I had a colleague on the BA3 on Monday and he said that there was only one seat free on board ex JFK!
