Talking Lakme parody on youtube - very funny

Just came across this on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp_hzrB_FI4

Parody of British Airways classic commercial filmed at Kilworth House Hotel, Leicestershire. 'Theatre in the Orangery'.

Apologies if this was posted before. I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Yes, mario, it has been posted before...however it is hilarious.

I'm sure many people will come across it here and be grateful to you for posting.

Best wishes.

Very Funny.

But a rather odd reference to Upper Class in the middle, (as opposed to Club Europe!)

I suspect it would have been somewhat more tricky to rhyme "silly arse" with Club Europe or World than Upper Class...

They could have used 'Business Class' or 'Club Class' rather than 'Upper Class' (VS).

C'est magnifique!! (Lakme, after all, being a French opera)

I always find the flower duet ironic: at the end, Lakmé commits suicide after a venerable British institution snatches her lover away and transports him to foreign lands. That's not usually the message I think BA is trying to convey...

I find it best not to think about these things. It's like commercials for products even remotely Italian using La donna e mobile from Rigoletto. The darker undercurrents don't really matter when they're trying to sell you delicious pasta sauce.

In the 'comments' is a suggestion that the ladies might include some volcano references in the future.

The potential is wonderful to contemplate!
