Question Seating Queries: World Traveller Plus

For all your questions (and answers) regarding the best, worst, noisest, quietest seats in WT+ on the 747, 767, and 777 fleets.

Special thanks to Lobengula for allowing the use of his image of Seat 28J.

Note: 777 three class layout is not entirely representative of the latest 48J aircraft. The centre rows are in fact positioned marginally aft of the corresponding window pairs.

Allow me to kick things off:

On the 3 class 777 the seating plan doesn't show cots in front of 12 AB & 12 JK but they are not available for selection on in MMB.

Will these open up at T-24?

I was able to get 12 AB for a flight next month at time of booking, though I'm BA gold.

Thanks for the reply.

Moving on, if I pay to reserve am I able to change my selection should better seats open up in the same cabin, without further charge?

We keep on booking WT+ but keep on being upgraded. Will I never experience WT+? If I do, I will do a full report.

I'm still holding out for a MFU, I don't think my Blue plastic will get me an OpUp, even with my Silver luggage tags still on display.

How many 4 class 777s have 3 WTP rows? Do they make more places for CW or for WT? I tend to fly these a lot on EWR-LHR route...

Doesn't look like you can...

So far, the automated seating thingy has always put me in 12A automatically, unless there is an infant needing the cot. However I do always check on at the dot of T-24H, but it's rare that I can't get 12A.

Am doing SFO-LHR tomorrow so will try and get a picture of 12AB and cobble together some kind of trip report.

Leave plenty of time if you get the bus to the airport

Ha! This time I have a plan B - I'm staying at the same hotel as BA Cabin Crew, I'm sure they can squeeze me into their crew bus

Please can someone confirm if 28B/J can be pre-booked in the High-J config? I have a flight showing row 28 blocked out, but I'm not sure if those seats are already taken, or simply not available yet.

Yes you can but those are exit row seats. They are on sale 10 days before departure.
