Webjet Discount Code for Purchases 6-8/1

No doubt there are thousands of FTers just hanging out for such an offer but for what it is worth the code VIAJAR used on the Webjet website this weekend will get you 15% off all fares for trips before 16/2.

Place to put in the Promo code is on the 2nd page where available flights are listed.

Good for getting somewhere for Carnival but you're on your own getting back

Given the huge level of interest in last weekend's offer :p, this weekend Azul has a similar discount:

Any discounts on Webjet, Azul, GOL, TAM, etc.? Traveling in June.

There were for 24-25 March. They are usually valid for a few days. You'd better register in the websites to receive promotion notifications.

How have you paid online on their sites for flights on these airlines? Do they need a Brazilian ID (CPF) and Brazilian issued credit card? Can you get the same discounted fare if not purchasing online or if using an agent?

Are these online fares only? (i.e. can you get the same price at the airport counter in Brazil ?)
Does the site allow online purchase without a Brazilian ID (CPF) and a Brazilian issued credit card?
How do you purchase (from U.S., Europe, Australia, etc) if not?

For the issue of a CPF see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/15554204-post7.html

I have no problem booking Webjet and Gol using my pseudo CPF and Australian Credit card. Previously I was able to book OceanAir but am not sure about its Avianca incarnation. Azul I haven't had the need/desire to try - VCP is a bit isolated for my travels from/to Sao Paulo

3544quebec Jun 1, 2012 10:19 am

This is commonly called fraud, just as if you used a "pseudo" Social Security number. Just because an issue wasn't made of it in your case doesn't mean that is not fact.

Thanks I appreciate your helpful comment.

And given that these fares have no residential restriction and no benefit is gained that I am not entitled to your definition of fraud may be common but it certainly is not legal.

Consider it however you want, but supplying false information to purchase online...is neither moral or legal and IMO should therefore not be encouraged.

And besides, if it means so much to you to repeatedly purchase online, why not simply apply for a real CPF of your own at the nearest Brazilian Consulate? Anyone can do so.
Since, when applying in Brazil, there isn't even a fee for gringos, perhaps that's the case at the Consulate as well (though I personally have not applied there). Free and moral and legal...wow, there's a unique concept. ;)

Its a somewhat distorted moral code that allows one
1) on the one hand o falsely on a public forum accuse someone of a particular crime ie fraud where the situation lacks several of the essential components of fraud not the least of which is the lack of any consequent damages to any entity
and
2) to criticise someone for fabricating a number to circumvent an administrative issue that would otherwise block two parties from completing a business transaction that both are happy to make and which while you claim is illegal you have provided no information as to what law is being transgressed.

Of the 2 circumstances which is the more unethical and immoral?

But then people who preach and pontificate at others are often well endowed with one particular attribute - hypocrisy
