This is incorrect, BA still has 5 rotations a day during the week, and 4 a day on Saturday and Sunday. Mostly on A320, sometimes on A319.

bmi has 6 rotations a day during the week, 4 on Saturdays and 3 on Sundays. All on ERJs though.

Is it me or is BMI really just trying to get shot of these routes and re-dedicate them to long haul slots?

If BMI does take SN seriously as a Star Alliance partner - they need to act the part - or else SN will just shipping their own planes to LHR soon enough...

I stand corrected - whether 5 or 6. I probably got incomplete info for upcoming flights and didn't look into the timetable. I apologize.

This should really read:

If Lufthansa does take Lufthansa seriously as a Star Alliance partner - they need to act the part - or else Lufthansa will just shipping their own planes to LHR soon enough...

For the info of regular BRU travellers who fancy flying on a bigger a/c, this from the bmi website front page.

And....

I have a sneaking suspicion that a mid haul 320 might be whisking me home on the 112 from AMS tomorrow night, at least, that is the seat map shown on Expertflyer at present! Fingers crossed, this old nag likes a bit of luxury and I am booked into row 2 so if it does indeed materialise, then I should be in one of the nice seats.

Regards

This is just for the Eurostar strike, no? Alas not a permanent return to Airbuses and non-extortionate seat pricing

G-DBCJ was at BRU this morning for BD142.

This may indeed have had to do with the train strike in Belgium today which also affected Eurostar. All flights between BRU and LON were reported to be nearly full.

Too bad I wasn't flying to LHR today :-(
