TK to Introduce F class to LHR, SIN, HKG, NRT, JFK

Just read here that TK will be keeping the F class cabin on the Jet Airways 777s they will be taking shortly and flying them to LHR, SIN, HKG, NRT & JFK. They are already showing in ANA tool for SIN but not for LHR (didn't check anywhere else). Might be a good alternative to TG and SQ for F class redemptionsand probably much easier to snag a seat too. Looks like a very good hard product too with individual cabins: Photo 1 Photo 2

Turkish Airlines confirmed the addition of five widebodies in the coming months to support the growth of its long-haul operations. Additions comprise three 777-300ERs on wet lease from Jet Airways and two A330-200s that are part of an order placed in 2004. THY currently operates nine A340-500s and five A330-200s. The first two 777-300ERs are scheduled to join the fleet on Dec. 24 and 25 while the A330s are scheduled for February and April delivery.

With the addition of the 777s, THY also will start offering first class. The aircraft are configured with eight first class seats that recline 180 deg. to a 2.1-m. bed, 30 seats in business and 274 in economy. The -300ERs initially will be used on services to Singapore, Hong Kong, London Heathrow, New York JFK, and Tokyo Narita.

Last time I tried finding a redemption seat on TK it seemed almost impossible.

This is great news. I had learned about the leasing of the Jet planes by TK and was wondering where (and when) they would be deployed. I agree the F seats look pretty nice, but I could also recommend the business class seats (these are fully flat in a herringbone layout). These beat the angle flat seats most *A carriers have in business class. No idea about TK's food/service/IFE, but I will definitely seek out these flights for redemptions.

I've been pleasantly surprised by TK's availability when searching recently. This certainly makes them look even more appealing.

I had no troubles (correct day of travel though one flight at a less than ideal time), though my flights were IST-NAV and ASR-IST and in Y, so not really all that big a deal.

J class pricing was very very attractive on TK on most routes. (ATH-IST-BKK return in J was €1.200 all in earlier this year).
I wonder how they will price F ?

TK's J pricing on MAN-IST-BKK was much cheaper than LX even (and they are usually very competitive). It was coming in at ~£1600pp over the peak December period. I expect that their F pricing will be similarly competitive.
