EDITED - this is the new listing

OK. Here is a nice way to give to charity and earn your miles!

I have set up a £1 buy-it-now ebay listing here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=230252670936

However, don't click on the link to buy! Go to the BMI e-shop, select ebay then, in ebay, search for 'BMI Diamond Club'.

You are basically pinging me £1. I will take your £1 and give what is left after ebay and paypal (85p or so?) to the NSPCC. I'll post on here how much we get. I think 10,000 FT posts means you can trust me to do this .....

If you buy 10 of these over 10 days then you will get the full 5,000 miles. Buy 5 and you get 3,000 miles which is a better deal on the miles per £1, of course!

Good work Raffles!

When I get home, one will be gone and we'll see if it tracks

Great work Raffles.

A perfect way for us to to top up our transactions as necessary. I'd rather give £1 to the NSPCC than Apple.

Raffles just noticed the exact wording is "free UK delivery to store and on orders over £15"

If you can collect from a local store the Mr Men might still be an option.

B*gger, ebay has pulled my listing! Sorry all ....

We appreciate that you chose eBay to list your Fixed Price listing(s). However, we have removed your listing because it breached our No Item policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

"230252639811 - E-shopping promotion

Why did we remove your listing?

Your listing(s) contains the following information:

You will receive NOTHING in return for your £1 purchase

You may not list intangible items or items whose existence cannot be verified, such as ghosts, souls or spirits"

Sounds like the description was honest, rather more so than some of the dubious items on offer elsewhere. Pity.

As for spirits, I'm more than happy to verify that Absolut Red exists.

OK, here is the new listing:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=230252670936

Search for BMI Diamond Club when you link through from the BMI shop. Again, its a £1 buy-it-now and, again, the money will go to a good cause. As will your bonus miles!

I got the email too, as one of the two buyers. Must say it did make me laugh.

Haven't you got a 'how to' .pdf or something you can sell ?

Living in Sweden, is it possible to buy from there? I was told you only accept UK '

Really like your idea about this, could need the 5000 miles.

You are clever Raffles. I presume I could log in to the various family DC accounts and buy one each daily.

Please forgive a novice's questions.

I see that one buyer made 4 purchases on the same day. Is there a risk that these will be amalgamated into a single transaction?

Also, there was some blurb during the process that all transactions are converted into and out of US dollars. As the current rate is less than $2 to the £, could the £1 transactions end up being calculated as 99p, 98p or whatever, and non-qualifying for miles?

Thanks.
