I'm interested in any ongoing or new promos too. Got a few miles to make up in the next months and don't want to have to buy them all.

The question is around when my purchases should show up on "My Acccount" on the shopping portal. I booked a Hilton stay through it around a month ago. I'm completely expecting the points to take up to 12 weeks to post, but "My Account" on the portal shows the click through, but not the purchase.

Is that correct (ie it goes through verification before posting), or should the purchase show up there straight away?

cheers
Did you get anywhere with this? I have the same trouble with M&S it shows as tracked but nothing on the payment section.

I had same problem with Play.com a few days ago; tracked but no confirmed purchase. I think it used to show as an order straightaway. I guess it's another bug on the new system but I suppose it's possible they have changed it so that it will only show up when points post (wishful thinking perhaps!).

On the buying miles page. You need to start the process of buying miles and it is at the top of the page.

Good spot monahos

It was a great spot indeed! I'm going to buying a few this month so this helps a lot. Wasn't sure how many I'd need exactly so am now able to buy a few, get them posted and wait till I've got the exact figure. Otherwise I was going to have to wait till the last minute to calculate...

Dear TL

As you've bought destinations miles in the past, we thought you'd be interested to know that we're waiving the transaction fee on any Buy Miles purchase between 15 July and 31 August 2009.

All you need to do is sign into your Diamond Club account to 'Buy miles for you' or 'Buy miles for a friend'. When you complete a purchase, the £15 transaction fee will automatically be removed. View terms and conditions.

You can even pay for your online purchases with our award winning credit card, just as you can with all your everyday purchases, helping you to earn miles even faster. Typical 15.9% APR.
Plus don't forget, you can also earn destinations miles when you shop online with a wide range of high street retailers, such as John Lewis, where you'll earn 4 miles for every £1 you spend. Simply sign into your Diamond Club account to 'Start shopping now'.

Offers like these are just some of the reasons why we're the UK's most generous frequent flyer programme.

Kind regards

Keeley

"Ritter Sport - £0.97 for 1 bar"

Well, one can pick these up at FRA for 0.85 EUR, so how much extra (without the GBP 3.95 shipping per order (unlimited)) would we be paying for the miles?? That's about 0.73 GBP per bar at FRA, therefore about 0.24 GBP per bar extra...

Offers like this show how utter useless your FF program is, nothing more...

What is the point in sending out this email when one cannot buy or gift miles at the moment, as the system won't recognize the new DC numbers???

It really is a total joke.

Is this still the case?

Possibly worth flagging as a thread in its own right and making Joanna aware of it?

I've not kept up with the "new system issues" thread as well as I should have, but am surprised (well, not really!) at hearing this...
