How long does it take for miles purchased online to post? Is this pretty much instant?
Online it says "allow up to 24 hours" but I was hoping that someone could confirm that it happens quicker than that.
In the past they have posted instantly - but when I tried to purchase miles 2 days ago, the money was taken from my account but I didn't receive any confirmation and the miles still haven't posted.
Both points.com and my credit card issuer are saying the problem lies with the other party, and there's no sign of either a refund of my money or the miles being deposited into my account. This is particularly annoying since I'm waiting on those last few thousand miles to make an award redemption for travel in two weeks.

Thanks everyone. I can confirm that the points posted instantly after logging out and in again.
However, I can also confirm that AMEX was not accepted and I used a VISA card in the end....now if I could only get someone on the phone who can actually find the seats I see on ANA...seems very difficult today...

again not sure how £6.50 becomes £3.32 and then only qualifies for 2 points, but qualify it does.
Yes! for me too. although only one out of two posted. Suddenly this afternoon a whole bunch of transactions appeared. I can also confirm that contrary to previous assumptions, a single itunes song order for £0.79 does qualify:
18/05/2008 Apple iTunes GB £0.79 3 miles/£1 Pending 3
Which is probably the cheapest option then but still does not make sense at all regarding the not qualifying ebay £1.02 transaction...

Can confirm Plan C works too, shows as £3.32 with 2 miles earned. No sign of my waterstones or Ebay transactions from 14/5 so have sent off an email but am not hopeful of a reply.

Plan C worked for me too. Thanks Raffles. I tried to buy another £1 listing using paypal and then buy a £6.50 listing to get the miles bonus. But, the first listing has been pulled. Will you be posting it again on ebay for us?

It appears my iTunes is connected to the US store, as the prices are in $. Can I switch it to the UK store, or I can get the miles even when shopping in US$?
