Waterstones have tracked after about 5 days for me. And free instore pickup is a bargain!

Obviously I'll buy the £1 ones first to ensure the money goes to charity
Simply buy 2 x £1 items - when you click on 'Buy Now' you are asked how many you want to buy - put in 2.

The PayPal charity pot currently stands at £144 - very well done to everyone.

Please post when £2 transactions start tracking - in particular, whether or not they are showing 1 mile earned. If they aren't, I will launch Plan C in a couple of days!

Raffles, my £2 transaction just recently tracked as:

18/05/2008 eBay £1.02 1 mile/£1 Pending 0

But none of these have tracked, b&q, currys, dixons, itunes

Only Waterstones has tracked, within about 3 days i think.

I ordered some flowers through interflora and a Raffles Special on eBay on Sunday evening and they have both tracked today:

18/05/2008 Interflora £29.98 3 miles/£1 Pending 99
18/05/2008 eBay £1.02 1 mile/£1 Pending 0

Time to go back to eBay!

Thanks, Raffles for Plans A and B!

OK. It seems clear that even at £1.02 you are not going to get any miles from ebay.

I will therefore pull (at least temporarily) the existing ebay listing.

All of you who have made a purchase will receive an email from me today outlining Plan C! Please act on this ASAP.

If you do not receive an e-mail by Thursday AM, please PM me.

If Plan C works then I will open it up to others. Thanks.

Hmmm.. But its tracking as a purchase (even if it's 0 miles).

Quote:
Terms and conditions

Transactions must be made between 01 May and 15 June 2008 to qualify for bonus miles.

Miles will be credited to your diamond club account after the promotion closes. This may take up to 40 days from the date of purchase.
This could be interesting (and arguable) that since you had a transaction that tracked, that you've complied with the terms of the promotion and that therefore that counts as one purchase...

Of course, since this is BMI along with the magic of points.com, I expect any meaning to mean nothingness these days

(and yes.. you did read right - 40 days... ie: end of August )

There's something dodgy going on with Ebay as my purchase of an item for £3.00 tracked but didn't generate any miles.

Has anyone actually got miles from Ebay ?

I'm getting the same idea. Compare this with BA shopping, where I bought an item on eBay for £28 (including around £2 p/p) and received 52 miles for it.

When the status is Pending, does the 0 miles actually mean you won't get any miles at all, or will it update once the status changes to Approved? And indeed the 'purchase amount' for all my purchases seems to be fairly unrelated to the actual spend

Tempted to ask them to explain - the T&Cs seem to be quite clear "Earn 1 miles (sic) for every £1 you spend at eBay" and

FWIW, I have 3 eBay transations of GBP2 each showing as GBP1.02 @ 1 mile per pound, 0 pending.

I for one am reluctant to ask Raffles to undertake more work tracking these separate transactions and plan to see what happens with these.

If the GBP6.50 rate is the way to go, fine, and it means a little more for NSPCC.

Hi,
My 19/05 £2 ebay purchase just posted, £1.02 1 mile/£1 Pending 0 (same as the others), but my 18/05 £2 ebay purchase hasn't posted at all, neither are my itune store purchases (£1.58 on 18/05 and 19/05). Anyone lucky yet with itunes?

I have 5 e-bay (inc 1 x Raffles plan B @ £2), all are pending, and all are at 0 points. At least 3 are £4+ before the hammer and ebay devaluation.

3 other retailers have tracked, all are pending and all show the correct mileage due.

So the question is how long did it take for your batch of 4 to be confirmed by e-bay and show some points, as I guess this is the trigger needed? And will pending translate to the equivalent of "stand-by" status, so some of us will get left behind at the points departure gate

Raffles,
re plan C, won't you/the fund get stung for seller fees on the higher sale price?
