Talking bmi Fleet: Livery/Interiors/Configuration: Part 2

Well seems quite appropriate to start a 'Part 2' to this topic. Now that most of the aircraft have their new interiors and full bmi livery looks like it's time to change them all again!

Thanks TCX69! This makes me sad however.

To think they wanted to install the LX flat bed seats, that would have been amazing!

Very sad indeed! Them flat beds are all ready & waiting in the EMA Hangar aswell! Cabin layout designed too. Such a pity!

Thanks for the info guys.

I didn't know this, wow, such a waste. The bmi product was already better than the competition this would have been "something else".

With TIP coming back into fashion there could have been a lot of money to be made by offering a top-notch C class product.

Perhaps LH wanted out because they would have been too embarrassed of the pitiful product they use on their KONT routes. That's something though, there was very little revenue interline for those BD routes which LH offered. I mean, BD never marketed TXL-LHR-mid-haul did they. LH clearly couldn't be having that. But then BD didn't market many of it's own domestic routes to mid-hauls!

If they are in EMA and paid for why wouldn't BA continue and fit them anyway? I'm sure they will keep some sort of mid-haul network so these aircraft would be handy.

I am booked on A332 to ALA and back.

I know seatmaps are not always accurate, but before today on both of them Y was starting at row 17.

Now, on 17MAY flight it still starts at row 17, but on a 22MAY flight it starts at row 20.

Could it be a different aircraft on a way back? How long is WWBD going for MX?

My mistake! It's G-WWBM that goes on MX on 19th May, for approx 6 weeks. So on the 17th it will be G-WWBM and from 19th onwards it will be G-WWBD operating ALA & FNA.

Here are the up-to-date seatplans:

Thank you for always good info, TCX69!

I've never been on A332 [only A333 couple of times] - but it will be extra nice to be on both BD's.

I hope that only one aircraft operating is not going to impact schedule a lot.

bmi are leasing a EuroFly A332 for the duration of G-WWBM being on MX. This will operate to RUH with EuroFly Cabin Crew and a bmi Service Manager and Chef.

Thanks, that makes sense. Interesting that they are swapping them around, instead of just replacing one that's going for MX.

Anyway, having flown on BD's A319, 320 and 321; I am looking forward to A332.
