Flying tomorrow LHR-SNN on EI. Got my BA Gold card last week. According to BA there is lounge access "when flying on partner airlines". does this mean I should get access to the London room or does it not extend to former BMI lounges?

I expect not (though cannot be sure) however, you should be able to enter the EI Gold Circle Lounge, which is considerably nicer.
