Oh my - as it looks like we might have a gaggle/possie/collection/aggregation/assortment/pile/heap (what IS the correct collective term?) of esteemed mods with us that evening (plus GC of course! ) - maybe we should make an effort and go somewhere nice...?

Wonder where OF will lead us astray to this time? Go on OF, where have you in mind?

(hint, if you say the Glasshouse Stores......! )

So you suggest it should be a venue that serves a quality tipple?

Never met up at one of these things before but there won't be many more chances, so I'd be interested if "newbies" are welcome.

Of course they are!

Trying to find the group is not usually too hard, but if unsure, the appropriate line is to ask the group "Did any one order a cheese toastie?". If you get a reaction, you know you've landed.

(You may think I'm kidding, but this is the best way)

We cut our cloth to measure. You got what you deserved.

Found a nice fare (£6 ++) and booked, so count me in. Hope OF will find somewhere nice to go.

It's of course quicker for me to travel to London on Beardy's train than via MAN and LHR but hey, this is FT! I'll be on what could be my last BD flight.

Miles will be credited to M&M.

I shall endeavour to be there, assuming I am not changed from my (consultancy) posting to Swindon that week.
