Apologies if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it yet.

Just got an email with an invitation to apply for the MBNA Best Western MC with an additional 30k points if you complete $1k spending on the card by Oct 31st. I'm sure there are better offers out there, but just thought I'd pass it along since there aren't nearly as many Canadian offers out there. Looks like a 30K point bonus over the usual 20K upon approval.

Thanks very much for posting ! I haven't received this e-mail and it may be worth following up. As you mentioned, decent promotion for a no annual fee Canadian issued credit card.

There's a big thread on this over in the Aeroplan forum, but lots of people are still missing bonus points - most of us the special bonus of 30,000 points, but also some people missing stanard bonus of 20,000 points.

Just wondering if anyone else that visits this forum has the card and if they've seen all their points awarded?

I registered for this card in September. Made the minimum $1K spend level in approx 2 weeks. Received the 20K standard bonus points with my first statement (end of Sept). Received the 30K extra bonus points by mid-October.

Others have reported that they've been advised that the bonus points can take 8-10 weeks to post (after calling MBNA).

I received all the points,50,000, within 6 weeks after several calls.DH has not. Then, strangley, received a second cc.So we did another spend.Hopefully,we will get all points someday. We converted to Home Depot GC's and already received those from my account.

Initial 20K points posted before 30K bonus points, which posted yesterday or the day before. So all 50K are present and accounted for over here.

In my case the 30k posted first and then the additional $20k after I hit $1k on the card.

Another question, does BW match status from other chains? Given how attractive the rates are I am seriously thinking of switching from HH Diamond level which is a joke unless you just want more points.

The only problem is BW is weak in NYC and some other key cities.

Just saw the status match thread which appears to be only to Elite, not higher categories?

I'm pretty sure they will match whatever your status is with your current hotel program, with the BW equivalent.
