American Express Promotion
Amex is offering a promotion of $25 for three day rentals or more paid with an Amex card. Will this be honored at Avis Manhattan locations which don't seem to accept any of the regular Avis discount coupons?

It is posted on the avis web site under avis deals. Use AWD D837200 at any neighborhood avis and get $25 American Express card for any three day rental. My question was whether it applied to manhattan locations as well since they never seem to accept ANY Avis promotions.

No experience here... All of my AmEx rentals are at airports (when I travel for work, I use my corporate AmEx). When I rent locally (for personal use), I use my Continental MasterCard for miles & insurance reasons.

the promo has been around for more than a 2 years. i have used it several times when the rate was similar or cheaper to other codes. however, i have never received the GC on any qualifying rental to date.
