Upcoming rental from LAX in August

Hi all,

I'm picking up a Class G (Premium) in August as I specifically wanted a Challenger or Charger. I see that Class E ALSO has the Charger.

My question - will Class G give me an R/T with the V8?

Chris

No idea (i didn't get in any of them after seeing that Camaro SS...). But on a previous rental in Jan, I got a 2016. Only difference is the much-improved infotainment.
I only ever chose V6s. But they must have both in the fleet. When searching for one with working sat radio the last time I noticed a few with leather seats, and that isn't available with the V6 AFAIK.

Full size car at YVR

I recently booked a full size car at YVR and received a free upgrade to a premium car.
What type of car can I expect?

How do you know you received a free upgrade?

Most likely would be a Taurus or 300.

They had a coupon on avis.com but not on avis.se
Free upgrade on selected cars.

Thanks for the help, hope they have something else than a Taurus or a 300.
Do you know if it's the standard Taurus?

Be cautious, I'm sure the "free upgrade" is "based upon availability" and rental fleets have been known to use the "sorry, not available" line. But you might get one. Depends on many factors.

In my experience, the Taurus has been higher trim levels.

What are the most likely Premium, Luxury and Intermediate SUVs at YVR right now? Thanks!

Chrysler 300 for both Premium and Luxury (yea, work that out. I think the Luxury classified one has nicer wheels or something...) is most likely at the moment I gather. It's the example car for both classes too at this station.

I'm counting on that, took my time to read the fine print ;-)
I can only hope they have something out of the ordinary, that I can rent.

Thanks. Then I might as well go for Premium "only"...perhaps I'll get an upgrade (Preferred Plus)

I just had a class G res at SRQ. I saw a Charger R/T on the lot and asked for it. They gave it to me for the premium rate, but it shows as a "cool car" as the class on the receipt. The other choice i had was the Taurus.

The Charger was excellent. 2016 with 6k miles. Tons of power and very clean

I have rented a 'Medium: Convertible' at LAX in July.

Other than the default Mustang, what could I expect at that location - the Camaro on the alternative list is great but I'd be a bit peeved if I ended up in Herbie!

At the risk of pushing my luck, would any of these have a V8 or are we only in V6/Ecoboost territory at this point.

I paid for a Full Size (Class E) vehicle in Toronto (downtown location) and was given a Kia Rondo that had already done 78,000km.

Was a pretty competitive deal for a one way rental (returned at YUL) but did I get screwed over? The vehicle group upon return of the car showed up as Intermediate (Class C). The Avis representative I just spoke to said that the Kia Rondo is a Class E car as far as that agency is concerned - he wasn't sure why it would be different at YUL.

Can I ask for the difference between Class C and Class E rates back?
