As of 2/12/14: We've had quite a few "Hey, come use this AWD. It's great" type of posts. When the AWD doesn't give a good discount, but is only posted to try to get renters to use the AWD of someone so the poster can earn free days from their Avis Corporate account. From here out, please put the company/trade group/etc that's associated with the AWD or we'll delete the post to keep it on-topic here.

Suggestion: If you wish to be cautious, I would edit your previous post, since with your first name and rental location, someone who works for Avis could reasonably figure out who you are from just the information given. (Renters in Lihue, named Barry, and using the LockheedMartin corporate code.)

Discount with Unlimited Miles
I have a good discount code, but it limited to 125 miles per day. Does anyone have one that is unlimited miles (in the USA).
Thanks

Also, by discount code, do you mean a coupon code, or an AWD number? They are distinct, and can often be used on the same reservations. Unfortunately, some people refer to both coupon codes and AWD numbers as discount codes. Coupon codes have expiration dates and are generally very specific, while AWD numbers usually may be used on every rental, and do not have expiration dates. On Avis.com, there are different fields for entry of each type of number.

That's the only one I know of that has reduced mileage. Additional miles are $0.25 per mile.
Note: this AWD does NOT earn FF miles - FYI

Although I could not quote you a list, there are several others with daily mileage limitations.

Does anyone have a working coupon for Europe? I am renting for 4 days in ZRH, and I can't find any working coupons.

Yes it is A972200. I am looking for one with unlimited miles and the same discount. Usually 125 miles per day is OK, but sometimes it is close.
Thanks

I'd note that many of these codes have been publicized for a long time here and elsewhere without change by Avis. Employee/family and other internal codes appear to have been most vigilantly protected, along with some that appear to have been heavily abused in high-cost, touristy and high-traffic (pardon the pun) areas (Disney, Florida and Hawaii come to mind). But codes with a large legitimate user base here in the US (Costco, AAA, travel agencies, hotels and airlines) seem unlikely to get changed; too much trouble, maybe the sponsor gets a kickback-type benefit. Corporation's codes do give me the willies, because internal accounting/travel folks could audit their use and catch non-employee users' name (albeit after the rental's complete) - those seem to me most likely to get changed or have an ID requirement enforced due to abuse, and I stay away from them.
Just my 2 cents.

The sentiment does you honor, but unless you are going to scrub the entire thread, where all of these appear multiple times, editing your own post won't make much difference.
