Requirements For Renting In Canada
Apologies if this has been covered: I am a US citizen and need to rent a car for business for a few days while on Toronto next week. Do I just need my US license and passport?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You won't need more than -- other than an acceptable form of payment, of course. You might not even need to show your passport, as many U.S. citizens can enter Canada via a land crossing without a passport.

Thank you both for the quick response. I travel a ton domestically each year (>200,000 miles) and rent weekly from Avis. Ive picked up some international responsibilities and just needed some quick guidance. Thank you.

For personal rentals (and I know this is not), consider getting your US insurance carrier to make a Canadian insurance card for you. Usually it is free and nice to have handy. It is a driver license sized yellow card.

Renting a car in Canada is no different than renting in the US.
If you are Preferred, you just need to show your driver's license as you would in the US.
I consistently get President's Club upgrades and use discount certs as I would in the US.
