Nope... You can only use 1 coupon code per rental. Both the bonus AA miles and the cert require a coupon code, so you must pick one to use.
I remember using the Avis cert as cash, I dont remember using a coupon code when I made the reservation cause I made the reservation before getting the certs and I just used 5 $50 avis certs when I paid the bill, but I could be wrong its been a few years ago.

2 Questions:

1. Should this work with a corporate AWD?
2. My estimated points are 3,200. Is that because it is 3,000 + 200 (50 points x 4 days)?

Does anyone know what the shortest rental period is that would qualify for the 7 day bonus? Does the reservation have to be 7 days or more, or is there a little headroom where say...a 6 day, 13 hour rental would qualify?

What really matters...the duration of the reservation, or the duration between the "time out" and "time in" fields on the receipt?
6 days, 4 hours.

I'm not kidding.

Won't work with some, such as A515100 (HP). That one is $31/da., plus t&f, no matter where, what day of the week, and how many days in a row. But no points or miles ... ever. Check ahead re yours.

Update to my previous post: I did not receive the Avis points (nor was I charged the additional fee). The points were estimated on my quote but they were not there when I returned the car.

ANY points? It's been taking me a few days to receive base points from Avis, and upwards of two weeks to receive the bonus points (from the MUAA004 promo).

I don't think so. I am pretty sure they would have charged me the loyalty program surcharge if it was going to work. Like Firewind mentioned above, my corporate AWD is $31/compact - $34/intermediate every single day of the year and that rate includes the LDW.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm not kidding.
At least for my rental (oneway BUR->LAX), I found the threshold to be 6 days and 3 hours for an estimated mileage of 7850. Anything else and the estimated miles dropped to 350 miles.

I'll let you all know what actually posts!

I am traveling in October and just tried the same offer. Avis's site said this offer was not valid for the dates I selected. So I guess AA is strict about the July 15th offer.
But I thought maybe if I made my reservation by July 15, it would work. Nope!

No, for all these offers, the expiration date is for the rental itself, not the date you make the rental.

By the way, I just tried a test reservation that starts before July 15 but ends after July 15, and it still said "coupon accepted". So perhaps only the rental start must be by July 15? (I don't see anything explaining what exactly has to happen by July 15 in the T&Cs.)

Miles Posted

My miles finally posted, it took about 2 weeks. 7850miles 1 week rental for $130. I have cars booked all the way to the end of the offer. I'm currently renting weekly anyway so this is a very lucrative bonus! I'll end up with a little under 40K miles.

Offer has been extended through August 31st. My week-long Avis rental extends past July 15th, so I assume it will credit as (newly) advertised.

Just as a follow up: my rental of 6 days and 3 hours qualified for the 7,500 mile bonus.

Happy renting!

Nice, thanks for reporting back. Since rentals of 4d3h-7d cost the same, there's no reason not to keep it the whole time, unless you can't return at a later day.
