Downgrade My Car
I rented a car for 2 weeks through a British Airways fly drive package, for a 'W' car. But I picked up the car today, and after researching it here, it doesn't look like I got a 'W'. But I'm no expert. I was given 2 choices, a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, and a Kia Sorento (I think). Did I get the right category?
If I did, I'm not really impressed with this category. I would like to change it to a Prius or similar, as they are far better equipped. Can I do that? I picked up from LAX.

I'd say both if those would be a W category, maybe higher for the Sorrento. You're always free to go and ask to swap as the worse that will happen is a "no". If you stick with W, I'd say the Edge might be the best equipped as the ones I've seen are.
The Prius will have standard lane departure/brake warnings, but are otherwise relatively basic (based on ones I've seen). However, this being a hybrid, it's a specialty category so not sure you'd get that in a W ressie.
Good luck!

Interesting about the Prius. I have a 2010 Honda Insight at home, which for the time had excellent equipment, and I would assume a 2018 Prius would be far more equipped than my Insight.
But I went back to Avis, and I asked to swap, they didn't have much in the way of cars to give me, but had a VW SUV, which was the next class up. I went to look at it, as soon as I opened it, I could tell this car was going to be great. It had everything I wanted. Went back to the desk, and said I liked that car, they said no problem and upgraded me for free.
I do wish that I had actually just paid a little more when I made the reservation for a Tahoe or Explorer, as they are the best for long distance driving! In terms of comfort, not fuel economy! I've rented 2 Tahoes through National, and they were amazing cars to drive.
