They are brilliant. They seem to have about three emails, and they just cycle through:

Boucher . . . receipts . . . commercial partner . . . Boucher . . . receipts . . . commercial partner . . . Boucher . . . receipts . . . commercial partner . . . Boucher . . . receipts . . . commercial partner . . .

I don't plan to go down without a fight. I have been issued miles in the low two-digits and I'm expecting six digits....so we have a little bit of ground to cover before I'm made whole. As of now, they're investigating. I have of course provided all requested information, so now it's just stalling.

I'll give them a bit more time because it'll be a pain to escalate, but I fully plan to if need be. Giving up is not happening.

Big words... but there's not really much you can do except sending some nasty e-mails.

That's not actually true. We have a legal system that assists people who have taken steps in reliance upon another's promise when that promise is not fulfilled. I have every intention of availing myself of that system if it proves necessary.

Theoretically correct.... But I think that the reality will be quite different.

Good luck with any legal action for miles that are this cheap and were a lot of different parties are involved (the shops, the shopping portal and Lifemiles). Even made more complicated with Lifemiles being registered in Panama.

I disagree. The only party that made any promise was the owner of the Lifemiles.com website which is a Florida corporation that is qualified to do business in my state and has appointed a local agent for service of process.

Then stop complaining and take action.... but I'm quite sure it's not going to be that simple .

Lifemiles.com and shop.lifemiles.com aren't registered in Florida but in Panama, only the administrative contact is in Florida..... Incentive networks and the merchants create another few layers of who is going to be responsible. And the value of the miles is negligible compared to the costs.

I have been sending an email once a week with no reply in the last 4 weeks. What is really ticking me off is that I got a personally addressed email from Lifemiles with the offer and I complied with all the rules that were laid out in the email. I didn't go crazy with it, 32 transactions. I haven't even gotten the base points from the Go Daddy ones which are showing as "approved" for a tad over 600 base points which haven't posted. It's like they froze the whole process of their online mall so even normal transactions aren't posting. We need to escalate this to a manager because the frontline CSRs are useless.

I finally got a reply. I guess I now have the full collection of form letters.

Dear Tiki,

It is a pleasure to greet you.

We are really sorry for the inconveniences caused; I would like to inform you that now the department in charge is evaluating your case to complete your request, as soon as we have news about it, we will let you know it by this way.

We appreciate your comprehension.

Best regards,
