weird no blogger has picked up on this yet... that will be the quick end of LM and its gaps.

Anyone know which loyalty program manages LM for Avianca/TACA?

Well, let's keep talking in code. The bloggers are quite daft and usually don't bother doing their own research.

Right now there are only four or five such oddities I think.

Am I missing something here?

I book on Copa in L bucket. If I credit the miles to United or Copa I receive 100%.

If I credit the miles to Lifemiles I receive 25%

Is this a fantastic program?

Looks like a great program. I have 2 questions:

* are you able to redeem tickets for family members?

* if so, for those who have done redemptions - do you need to input the passenger's passport number and/or expiry date during the redemption booking process?

When redeeming tickets, it will ask you for the passenger details during the process; so I guess yes?

It does ask for the passport number, I believe, but not the expiry date. Not sure how much it matters, though.

are there any details on stop-over rules?

mixed cabin flights (i.e. HKT (only business available) - BKK (First)- SYD)) do not seem to be bookable (at least online)?

*A Award chart now on-line

With thanks to northernstar84, who posted in the bmi thread

To remember: You need at least 40% of the total miles of the trip then you can pay the rest with cash (1K for 12,5 USD)

Did anyone work out yet whether you are allowed a couple of days stopover on a *A award ticket booked with LifeMiles?

I want to go Miami - Zurich - Shanghai | Shanghai - Toronto - Miami

It is only 65,000 miles but can I have a cheeky weekend in Zurich?

my first redemption with using lifemiles;

KTM-BKK-ICN-TAS (I Know its a very long route, but this seemed the only possible way using star alliance carriers.)

7500 lifemiles + $143 cash + $34 taxes. booked online in Business class.

I presume it is not a bad deal at all.
