OZ and KE Price Fixing Class Action Suit?

Did anyone else get an e-mail about KE and OZ price fixing and how you're eligible for compensation if you bought a ticket between 2000 and 2008 or something?

The site I got forwarded to is koreanairpassengercases.com. Not sure if this is legit but wanted to hear back from others.

It is real. There was a news article date March 5th 2011 that state various airlines were caught in a price fixing scheme. Google news search "airline price fixing". I won't repeat what is already out there but the settlement states that you might be able to get some money back perhaps.

Quite surprised the authorities are doing something on this.

I thought the Korean FTC (Fair Trade Commission) is 100% corrupt and basically just there to appease US and EU demands. Is the Blue House really serious about reigning in the Chaebol?

1. You thought right, but more like the demands of the Chaebols and high level bureaucrats and their friends, and 2. Never. The Blue House has been bought and paid for by the Chaebols.

Looks like i can get in on this settlement

I flew on KE ORD-ICN in Dec. 2006 and ICN-ORD in Jan. 2007

I just went on the site to request a Claim form sent to me.

I'll see what happens.

UPDATE: At this time, the coupon redemption process is being established and the award amounts are being finalized. Both the cash and coupon awards will be distributed pro rata, based on total qualifying purchases. The awards will be mailed to eligible class members by late summer 2015. This process has been quite extensive and we want to thank you in advance for your continued patience.
