Asiana Earnings Table by Booking Class

[EDIT]: OZ HAS NOW PUBLISHED AN ACCRUAL CHART. PM ME IF YOU SEE ANY DISCREPANCIES.

Our chart was pretty much spot on. We missed N as a non earning class and R as well. What is R anyway? [/EDIT]

Not long ago in this thread we discovered that it is actually not very clear which booking class on OZ earns how many miles.

While OZ provides detailed lists for all partner airlines, they have not published this list for themselves.

I will try to maintain a list in this thread for our reference so it is easier to see how many miles you will get before booking a ticket.

Please reply to this thread or PM me if you have additional details or corrections.

Code:
A, F 150%
Z, D, C 125%
J 100%

Y, B, Q, E, K, H, M, S 100%
G, T 80%
V, W 70%
L, N, O, I, X, R 0%

Great idea for a thread. H earns 100% as per my experience. I'm surprised the J only earns 100%. Glad I didn't credit any of my J OZ flights to Asiana Club.

Another strange one is that when flying AC Z Class, you only earn 100%.

It would be helpful to know about how much more percentage-wise one can expect to pay for 100% earning fare classes versus 70% & 80% earning fare classes.

There are a few of those oddities out there but they are all on the website.

i have first hand confirmation for L : no mileage
Came as a surprise since, when I bought the ticket, the discount was less than the 50% threshold and there was no mention on NO MILEAGE usually shown in the website for the special deal.

I just filed a complain at ICN, stand firmly in the first lounge and have extra advance payment...

Keep you informed of the first misstep in my love affair with OZ so far.
I am not sure how it will be handled

Anyway interesting test of their attention paid to Diam+

How does one find out the booking class before purchasing with OZ? They currently have a good rate from SFO to BKK, but I noticed that when I tried to find the Booking Class on their website, it was not displayed. I called Asiana customer support and was told that the booking class could not be revealed until I actually booked the ticket...
I'd rather not take a chance of not getting miles esp. on a long haul flight, so if anyone can give me a hint as to how to find the booking class before purchasing, I'd appreciate it!

Other than calling or working through a TA I wouldn't know a reliable way either.
Maybe one can try to have a look at the published fares via KVS/Expertflyer and try to match the price with what is offered on the website?

Thanks DownUnderFlyer - it looks like Expertflyer Premium accounts can show the Booking Class.

I have an upcoming Air Canada reservation, the international legs book into A class and the domestic and flights to the US book into L class. Are these eligible for miles? I don't want to get screwed by Asiana again.

I am not sure what the question is. The earning's table for AC flights is pretty clear. http://au.flyasiana.com/Global/AU/en...?fid=CLUB14300. Only very few booking classes on AC earn any miles at all for OZ MC.

Or are you actually flying OZ with an AC issued ticket?

Just that I did not carefully read the T&C of the fare, which might be true, but since I am used to book on their website, I knew where to spot the non mileage fare, this time took me by surprise.

I understand their answer since I can be of bad faith. Still, it is a dent to their service in my perspective.
