Anyone flying this route may want to check again. Looks like OZ is switching around aircraft quite a bit. The A333 is on for many days where the B744 was previously scheduled, thus without any F. On a few days I see the B74E has F availability. Most days no F availability at all. Some days the OZ102/101 flights are even on the B767.

I was told by OZ that their summer schedule for this year got rid of F between ICN and NRT.
I imagine almost no one purchases a revenue F ticket on this short route, and 99% (maybe 100%) of people sitting in F to/from NRT are on mileage tickets.

Was also downgraded from F to C on OZ101 this monday, 747 to A333.

Anyways, the OZ C service is definitely good enough for such a short flight.

The 744 that was going to NRT is being shifted to PVG, and the 333 that was going to PVG is going to NRT instead. Similar times, so they just swapped the aircraft, but aren't selling F on the PVG route.

I got my mail...... 744 to 333.... now the 744 fly:

You can see the new route on flyasiana.com ... but if you look on ANA Toll for Award flights... shows still the 333 for OZ361/362 and NO F.... will they fly this rout with F Serice and award tickets (like to NRT) ?

I am booked in F (award) from JFK to ICN on OZ221 connecting to NRT on OZ101 the next day. I will be spending the night landside - now that my OZ101 has been involuntarily downgraded to C, will I have problem accessing OZ F lounge pre OZ101?

Similar question for me too - except it was a separate first class ticket NRT-ICN and return.

Will ground service still be F lounge access + escort?

Anyone contacting OZ for compensation or at least to confirm ground F services?

Not likely, OZ actually had flown 744 and 3 class 777 into PVG before but sold as 2 class, just not daily on a regular basis, OZ had also been flying its 744 and 74M to HKG as well, and HKG had dropped the F service since a few years ago as well. NRT is the only intra-asia route that has F service, probably more premium traffic before but pretty much dry up now.

Other than HKG, OZ also use 3 class 777 for ICN-SGN, but it is just the same thing, 3 class sold as 2 class.


If you are flying same day, probably yes, but since you are overnighting in ICN, so no F lounge access.


Since it got downgraded, that means you are flying C, why would you be flying C but still get escort and F lounge access ? Make no sense at all !

Are you flying paid F ? If not no compensation other than refunding the difference of miles. This is not even like a last minute change.

So far, my OZ101 for November is still a 747 and my F seat is intact. Fingers crossed....

When downgraded last week, I did get an invitation to the F lounge at NRT by kindly asking the CA at check-in. She phoned her supervisor who approved the invitation.

That's good to know! Thank you for the update. I know it's YMMV but that's what I would have liked to happen since it's a downgrade.
