Award Ticket Tax/Fees?
Does anyone know if you pay for the taxes/fees if your booking an award ticket on an airline other than OZ? I recalled paying $200 USD for an ICN-SIN OZ and SIN-ICN SQ award ticket this summer. However, I'm not sure if the $200 was for the ICN-SIN segment.
I'm debating an award ticket itinerary on LX F, LH F, LH C (Intra-Europe), and LX C (Intra-Europe). |
You pay full taxes include fuel surcharges for star alliance redemption as well as OZ-alone award ticket. Fuel surcharge (YQ) is different by airline. YQ for ICN-SIN is in general $26, and airport taxes are like $50 for two airports, so it will be $100 total. I don't understand why you paid $200. Still you must have received an e-ticket with all details of tax/fee.

Does anyone know if OZ charge a fuel surcharge for flying on carriers like CO, UA, and US that don't normally charge a fuel surcharge on award tickets?
I know NH charges a YQ on award ticket when flying on their own metal or most *A, but not for CO, UA, and US. |
