Does anyone have a good tailor in Kuala Lumpur?

I'll be there for over a week. I've never been there before but have had clothes made in other Asian cities. Would KL be a good place for having shirts or suits made? If so, does anyone have a tailor to recommend?

Thanks.

Yes, I will look up the contact info tomorrow when I have it available and post it for you then. It's a guy in a low-overhead shopping center, walking distance from the Ritz. My husband had shirts and a suit made - great quality, reasonable price. Measured one day, fitted the next, ready the following day! He ordered again about a year later from the US and received the same quality.

Thanks very much. If my clients give me any free time (which they are likely to do), I will check him out.

This is an old thread... can anyone provide updated tailor referrals in KUL?

I find that my needs as a man are fairly easily fulfilled. My wife thinks that it's harder to find someone who does good work for a woman. Any recommendations that are specifically good for women?

As a true FTer, we are looking for good quality at good prices

Thumbs up Good tailor in Kuala Lumpur

I know a good tailor in Kuala Lumpur. His charges are very moderate but his tailoring quality is excellent. I get a few clothes done here each time I'm in KL. You can get a very decent custom made suit for approximately RM700 (about US$200) and an excellent shirt for RM150 (about US$43). This tailor is known among the expats and local corporate executives in KL.

==> A good tailor in Kuala Lumpur :-: (ask them for a price quote)

Where exactly is AA Tailor?

Hi mandylow25,
I have tried googling for AA Tailor's address & contact number but to no avail. Could you tell me where is it located? Thanks

I had my entire work wardrobe done by a woman who does work out of her own home (located in Puchong). Unfortunately, the woman only speaks Mandarin Chinese and some dialects (I believe Cantonese); not much English if any at all. Still interested?

AA Tailor is a Scam

Please DO NOT use AA tailor in malaysia, you will be very dissapointed and frustrated with their service, I ordered a few suits from them, i paid up front, which i realise now was stupid, i am still not sure if i will ever get the suits

Anyone have some updated insight on tailors in Kuala Lumpur?

I arrive there on Monday August 29 and will be in KL from 2PM - 8PM. I will then be back the afternoon of Friday September 2 from 3PM - 8PM. Will this give me enough time to do measurements and order Monday, a fitting on Friday, and then they can mail the suits based on that last fitting?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

Beofotch

I just called matthew and told him that he made the best suit I could hope for. My card didnt work and I didnt even need to do an up-front payment. Went back and paid full amount when I collected my amazing suit. Don't know why you were dissapointed. He provided the best service I could hope for. Also the output quality of the suit was perfect. PERFECT.

Maybe you've mistaken the tailor as we visited them a lot over the past few weeks because of a wedding and he did very well.
