BKK Transit - Different Terminals

I will have a 7 hour layover in BKK next week. I'm arriving at Terminal 1 on LY and taking off from Terminal 2 on CX. Not sure if I can interline the bags between them. I know that you can walk between the terminals landside without leaving the building, is this the case airside? If not then I assume I'll need to claim my bags at Terminal 1 and then have then recheck them in Terminal 2?

Yes, as long as you can interline the bags, you can pass between terminal 1 and 2 on both airside and landside in Bangkok.
