transit hotel and luggage

Hi, I have 14 hours between flights and want to make use of the transit hotel. Is there a way to claim your lugage goto the hotel, sleep there and check your luggage in the next day for the continuing flight?

There are anecdotal reports of some FTers being able to talk their way back thru Immigration, but the rule is, no.
The website for the transit hotels specifically tell you to travel with only carry-on. Everytime I have used the Transit Hotels with carryon only it has worked well.
It would be best if you coulds simply check your luggage thru to its final destination.

negative. 'transit' hotel- the hotel is on the airside. your other option would be use the former Le Meridien Hotel Changi, which is about 15 minutes away from the airport.

OK, I have some personal experience on this. About 3 years ago, I was on this NW flight arriving at Changi at around 12:45 am. I heard about the transit hotel, and it seemed better to me than trying to get into town in the middle of the night, so I made a reservation.

When I arrived -- and found out that the hotel was on the wrong side of baggage claim -- I asked the immigration folks what I could do. They were helpful. As I recall, they wrote my name down in some sort of logbook and escorted me to pick up my luggage. They then walked me back through immigration. I spent the night at the transit hotel (which was otherwise quite clean and comfortable, and perfect for a middle-of-the-night arrival) and officially "entered" the country the next morning.

Of course, there's no guarantee that the same rules apply today. So double-check. Somebody at the transit hotel should certainly know.
