Award Travel to Nepal

Hello everyone,

I am planning a trip to Nepal in May and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on award travel booking with Ultimate Rewards points. I am planning to travel 05/20/17 - 05/28/17 from JFK to KTM. I have about 180k Ultimate reward points and wanted to use that to book 2 round trip tickets.

Does anyone have recommendations on specific transfer partners to use to book this flight? Thanks.

You might try Award Hacker to give you a basic idea on mileage needed, and then check and see what's available from the carriers.

What research have you done on what airlines (plural) fly JFK-xxx-yyy-KTM?
What freq flyer miles do you have now? Any airline ffp status?
Having specific dates is never a good idea with award travel
Close in (saver) awards are very hard to get. 2 people on the same flights is 3 or 4 times harder than 1 person

www.awardace.com is another award ff miles cost tool. None of these award cost tools show availability.

FT is not a travel agent nor has access to award flights
Consider these http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...e-reviews.html

Thanks for the response and that source. I had never heard of that website but that is basically what I was looking for. I did do a search to look for various airlines that fly JFK-KTM but the issue was that I was not sure how to transfer points from UR to those airlines and I'm sure for some of them there is no way.

Based on looking at award hacker it looks like my best option will be to just book from the UR Travel Portal. I can book for about 75k miles through the portal vs 80k for cheapest award travel. Thanks for your help.
