Broad labor action will impact international and domestic flights Wed. & Thu.
From http://www.infobae.com/notas/655556-...mediodia.html: transportation worker unions have agreed to join the 24 hour strike called by the head of the teamsters union. The strike starts at noon Wednesday, June 27. Inbound flights should be able to land tomorrow but no flights will be able to depart. I assume this impacts the international airport in Ezieza and Aeroparque Jorge Newbury in Palermo, which would mean nearly all commercial traffic in Argentina will be disrupted. Time for more Malbec!

I heard the Head of the Aeronautical Workers Union this morning on the Radio, he explained that workers are expected to walk off the job at 1200 noon (Wednesday) and be at the demonstration until 1800-1900hs.

Things have been a lot more quiet that expected and the press is reporting that there have not been widespread disruptions.

According to CFK acolytes quoted in the BA Herald this strike was a bust and Moyano is finished. Given their penchant for self-delusion I wondered if those on the ground could comment on the 'success' or lack thereof of this protest?
Is this kind of stuff going to diminish or grow in the coming months?
I'm hoping for a disruption free vacation next January and February.

Rubbish.....
While its true that Moyano's strike was far from a huge success, its absolute nonsense to say that he can be written off and that he is finished. This was just another political battle, the war is still far from over.
