ˇQue viva el pueblo! ˇMuerte a los mosquitos!

DEET is approved for use, but it is recommended not to use over 23-30% and it can / does affect plastics (including some synthetic fibres, probably the reason HIDDY was great bitten on his, er, middle northern regions whilst facing south). More recently Picaridin 20% has been approved (and proven close to equally effective against mozzies).

As for Nesquick - I'd rather try a bit of Lagavulin or Laphroaig. Unless the mozzies like peat.

Hopefully nobody will have to worry until close to the new year...

OFF the most popular brand of repellent here has 25% DEET in it. Once after spraying some on my hands I used my laptop and melted the casing next to the touchpad.

If I drink enough Lagavulin or Laphroaig I don't seem to notice the mozzies.....or the wife for that matter.
The mozzies are out again today by the way.

They're back out in huge numbers today.

Must be the recent wet mild weather to blame.

It's alright for you to talk......we don't all own wine shops you know. I have to drink according to my budget. Which depends on how much pocket money the wife gives me.

So, Mr. Hiddy, keep your mozzies in the campo. One of them came inside to join me for dinner tonight. Yes, the cordero was delicious, but it is only the start of spring, so they must be coming from your way. A proper ambassador would do his job, and not be part of the "mosquitoes para todos" campaign.

Maybe the smell of your cordero attracted it in?

You can blame the mild and wet winter for the buggers. Last year they didn't appear till December so I hate to think what it'll be like once summer comes.
The wife had a job finding supplies of OFF the other day. However, after much searching she eventually managed to track some down. The price of it has shot up I noticed.
