User review: Mira Vida Soho, a boutique hotel in Palermo Soho

My wife, our two children, my sister in law, and I all spent the long weekend in Buenos Aires. I booked two rooms at Mira Vida Soho a couple months ago, and gave them a small deposit via Paypal. We arrived Friday and left Monday. The hotel is small, only 6 rooms, and the rates vary depending the season and the specific room, I think they range from 125 – 200 USD, but you need to contact the hotel to verify. Our rooms were wonderfully furnished, with TV, free wifi, AC, heat, and a big armoire. The bathroom was large with comfortable walk-in showers and plenty of counter space for my wife and I to get ready in the morning. Breakfast is included, but unlike most Bs. As. hotels they don’t just dump a bunch of cold cuts and pastries onto a buffet and tell guests to help themselves, instead they offer a handful of dishes like French toast, yogurt with fresh fruit and hand-made granola, or poached eggs which they prepare individually. Everything we ate was outstanding, and the service throughout our stay was top-notch. They also serve a wonderful selection of wines by the glass and bottle throughout the day and they were happy to help us find various kinds of restaurants near the hotel.

For people who want to accrue points or are hesitant to veer from well-known hotel brands Mira Vida Soho might not be the right choice; but if you like individualized service, distinctive décor, and a wonderfully comfortable space then this is definitely a good hotel to consider. They have a great deal of information on their website: http://www.miravidasoho.com, it’s in Palermo Soho, about 6 blocks from Plaza Italia and 5 blocks from Plaza Serano, on Darregueyra where it merges with Uriarte, near the intersection with Soler.
