A few years ago, my mom went to Europe. I believe it was on AF but I'm not definite. She came home with a blue toiletries kit. It had ear plugs, eye mask, that kinda stuff. Specifically, anyone know how many decibels the earplugs will block out?? It was a dark blue thing, with the ST logo on it. Little bit bigger than a medium sized digital camera 's carrying case. Possibly the airline/class? Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the foam earplugs? The kind you roll between your fingers and then insert into your ears and they expand?

Without knowing what the NNR (noise reduction rating) of these earplugs is, it's difficult to say what the reduction in decibels would be.

Typically, these styles of earplugs are worn in industrial settings where hearing protection is required. An industrial hygienist might be able to help you.

Note: these earplugs must be worn properly to be fully effective and many people do not insert them properly. They should also only be worn once.
