Other European Frequent Flyer Programs - CSA: OK+ Award tickets to NY unavailable from start of Winter schedule?

My girlfriend has an open award ticket PRG-JFK in C class. When I tried to make a reservation between Christmas and New Year I was told nothing was available. When I then asked what dates were available in December or January - nothing. When I asked whether there was ANY date available after the start of the winter schedule, the answer was an unequivocal NO. When I pointed out that such seemed rather odd the call center person couldn't give me reason.
Doesn't Delta want to play ball?
Also I wonder what to do with the ticket (it is the inbound part of a return ticket).
I don't know how this affects your dates, but "CSA Czech Airlines will cease operating from Prague to both New York JFK and Manchester, UK, during its winter schedule"

I got an ticket from ORD to SOF via Prague from CSA. Call again, ask for the boss, and see what can be done.

Thanks KVS - but one of the conditions of an open ticket is that the exact same route should be taken - so if the ticket originally was PRG-JFK then they cannot add another segment. Or so they say. First availability PRG-JFK (on Delta metal) is July 17th, 2010.
Also - no refunds of points - only of airport taxes :-(

Was checking the same thing over the weekend......also nothing for months and months....I gave up after I hit mid-January (for direct flights on DL).
None (direct again) also showing up using FB KLM booking points and website.
But July? Jeez, CSA is really messing up....

When did you book it? Did you already know that the route will be suspended by CSA? If not you could try to play that card and argue that due to the route being canceled you should be able to get some leeway. Maybe they could get DL to open an award seat (unlikely), put you on a revenue seat on DL or on their codeshare quota (as would happen if you had a paid ticket, more likely) or just ignore the rules and route you on KL or AF or whoever.
Ask for a supervisor for this.
